Katrina to endorse Oil of Olay

Get ready to see another series of advertisements featuring Katrina on your TV sets, ‘coz she has been signed as the brand ambassador of cosmetic company Oil of Olay and she would be endorsing their new White Radiance range.

A buddy of Kat says, “Katrina is a youth icon of today. The international brand found Kats to be the apt model to market their product.Also she is the number one actress in the film industry. What also worked for Kats is that she made the right decision at the right time.”

Katrina says, “Be it a skin,hair or a jewellery product, I am very selective about the brands I endorse. I undertake extensive research on the company and try to ensure that the brand delivers on its promises made to the user of the product.”

Shruti and mom don’t talk

Shruti Hassan and her mother Saarika are not on talking terms and Shruti doesn’t care.

She says, “My mother doesn’t like my friendship with Gauthami Madam. She is angry with me because of this count and avoids speaking to me. I’m not bothered about that.”

Gauthami is Saarika’s ex-hubby Kamal Hassan’s partner and Shruti is happy being with her superstar dad.

She says, “I want to explore the whole world and I have my daddy’s full cooperation in this. I have self-drawn boundaries which I’d never attempt to cross.”

Shruti’s Bollywood debut Luck fared miserably at the box office.

hahid:Kaminey was a huge risk

Shahid Kapoor’s performance has been praised by one and all and the handsome actor is happy that his risk has paid off well.

Shahid says, “The fact is that mass as well as niche audiences have given a thumbs up to a subject and a genre that were never explored before. This was a very huge film for me and hence a big litmus test as well. It was such a huge risk and my fortune could have swung either way. I’m so happy that it paid off eventually.”

“Even when I was on the verge of signing ‘Kaminey’, people discouraged me. Since on paper itself it sounded such a different film, I was advised that I should follow a conventional route and do more love stories.

“People felt that I was on a wrong path by signing on something experimental when I should have rather consolidated my image as a lover boy. I am glad I took a firm stand though because I sincerely believe that audiences today want a change.”

Preity’s Happening item in Main aur Mrs.Khanna

Preity Zinta is following Aishwarya Rai’s Kajra Re footsteps as she has put on the item girl tag for special friend Salman Khan in his movie Main Aur Mrs Khanna.

Preity says,“It’s an interesting cameo. The song’s called Happening and I agreed to do it because director Prem Soni is a friend. And since Salman has played Prem so often, let’s just say this one is for Prem.”

Director,Prem says“Unlike Ash, who was just a part of Kajra Re, Preity plays an important role in the film.”
