Shahid:Please link me with Rani

Shahid Kapoor is always linked with every of his co-star, ranging from Amrita Rao, Vidya Balan to more recently Priyanka Chopra, however he is not being linked with his next co-star Rani Mukherjee and he finds it amusing.

Shahid says, “Yes it’s been amusing me and Rani both, how there is no link up between the two of us in the press…specially since I get linked up with every single heroine of mine… kuch karna padega!”

So should we link you up with Rani, Shahid?

Salman:I’d kick Hrithik’s a**!!

Well Salman says he could’ve succeeded in doing this if he would have learnt break dancing and reveals that dancing in Wanted was quite difficult.

Salman says, “Doing one step took 15 days.But I used to dance a lot, I even entered dance competitions in discotheques till I came of age and realised that to look cool I only needed to stand against pillars! I didn’t know then that if I’d learned breakdancing, I’d kick Hrithik’s a** today!”

Shifting his focus on preparing for a role, Salman says, “I don’t think anybody prepares for a role.Maybe Aamir trained his body for one scene in Ghajini and Shah Rukh did that for a song in Om Shanti Om… but I feel if you walk like the character in the film, and you can talk like him, then you’re set. I get that feeling with this role. It’s that kind of film. We need heroes. It’s time for people to stand up against all odds. That’s what this character does.”

“The action is different.I have not had body doubles, and cables have been used in only one or two scenes. It’s not action for the sake of action. The emotion here is at a different plane. This is not a body-body kind of action film. The man’s fight is not from the body, but from his heart. The strength comes from within. He’s like a Parsi, if he believes in something, he has the strength to take on the whole nation!”

Sallu’s Wanted declared hit

Rani Mukherjee and Salman Khan both were desperately waiting for Friday. while Dil Bole Hadippa is Rani’s comeback vehicle, Wanted is Salman Khan’s ticket back to hits and stardom.

So the good news is for Salman Khan fans, because WANTED has been declared hit, while Dil Bole Hadippa has not had a good opening.

In Mumbai Wanted had a opening of 45% and DBH had 40%, in Delhi Wanted had an opening of 70% and DBH of 35 %, however both the flicks fared poorly in Kolkatta and South.

Wanted is a remake of Telugu hit movie Pokiri starring Mahesh Babu and Ileana.

John:Karan-SRK have great taste in men

John Abraham is the latest guest on Farah Khan’s show Tere Mere Beach Mein along with Yuvraaj Khan. John discusses with Farah how great taste in men both SRK and Karan have, ‘coz they were the judges at Gladrags competition and made John the winner.

John also talks about his hero, Tom Cruise, he says, “I just have one international star as my hero..Tom Cruise.” Farah asks, ”Koi ladki ya heroine ke nahi thi?” John says no and Farah asks back, ”That’s why you did Dostana!”
John laughs, “Tabhi Dostana ki…pehle Tom Cruise, then Abhishek Bachchan..then Shah Rukh Khan.” Farah in full humour says,, “so you were into guys as a kid!” John smiles, “Farah, I was never into guys.”

Then John recollects his shy pimply days, “I used to be very shy. There was a time when my face was full of pimples and I just never used to look up when in the company of girls so much so that they used to feel that I was such a shy, sweet, decent boy. Only I couldn’t tell them that my face is full of pimples and that’s the only reason I’m looking down!”

Well John you have turned into a handsome swan now from a pimply duck.

SRK-Akki bond together

After a long battle over who is the Superstar No 1 of Bollywood, superstars SRK and Akshay Kumar bade goodbye to dushmani and said hello to Dostana at Film city yesterday. SRK was shooting at the film city for an ad and Akshay was filming for his upcoming movie Blue.

It was Baadshah of Bollywood,SRK, who went all the way to Akki’s shooting set to meet him and Akki was surely surprised.

A source from the sets of Blue says, “SRK walked in on the sets of Blue yesterday afternoon to meet Akshay. SRK was shooting nearby on floor no 12 for an ad film when he heard that Akshay was shooting on floor no 1 for Blue. There were some media persons who were present on the sets of Blue.

They were surprised to suddenly see SRK on the sets of Akshay’s film. As soon as he heard about SRK’s visit, Akshay came out of his vanity van to greet him. Their body language was very friendly.

The two stars chatted inside the vanity van for 20 minutes. They have been discussing the possibility of a joint venture. Earlier too they had discussed the possibility of doing a film together at Preity Zinta’s birthday party. Now they have taken their discussion a step ahead. The film will be jointly produced by SRK’s production company Red Chillies and Akshay’s Hari Om Productions.”

“Akshay and SRK know that it will be nothing short of a dream cast if they are seen together in a film made by them.”

We surely agree with this sure, it would be great to see the Badshah and the King together. What say folks?
