Big B to celebrate B’day with family

Last year Big B had a quite birthday, due to the demise of his mother, however this year friends and family will come together at Bachchan house to celebrate Big B’s brithday.

Amitabh Bachchan says, “I shall be with my family in the night to bring in my birthday. Abhishek and Aishwarya shall drive down from location to be with me.”

“Amar Singh ji is here already and Anil and Tina Ambani and Aishwarya’s parents Krishnaraj -ji and Vrinda- ji, will join me. That is it. I am happy when family gets together. The 11th I shall be at home and perhaps a quiet family dinner will follow.”

For Big B, his birthday is just another day, he says, Yes another day another year. I am grateful and feel blessed that it means something special for those around me. The Almighty and the prayers of my loved ones and those of the millions that have supported me are to be thanked.It is because of them that I breathe and exist.”

On his Birthday, he wishes for peace in the world, Big B says, “I wish, much like all else for there to be peace and harmony. For humans to understand that we are all one and that we all have common characteristics. To understand that all faiths need to be respected, for none of them are different in their beliefs. That we are one nation, united by our independence and our sovereignty. That this world we live in belongs to all of us and we need to protect it for its survival. That a kind word and a smile never did harm anyone. That a fragrant flower decorates our lives more than the vicious odour of hate.”

Happy Birthday Shehenshah Amitabh

Today the Shehenshah of Bollywood, the Superstar of Indian Cinema, the biggest actor of Bollywood ala Big B, turns 67 years today.

Amitabh Bachchan war born to Hindi poet Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan. He started his career in Bollywood in 1969 and now in 2009 he has completed four decades of his life entertaining us.

Big B insists that he will never retire from Bollywood ala Ashok Kumar, he says, I would disagree that actors of my age don’t get important roles to play in movies. Look at Dada Muni (Ashok Kumar)…he was an example. He kept doing important roles even till he was 80 years old,”

“I can’t be playing the lover boy anymore. So I do all those roles that suit a 67-year-old.”

This year we will see him doing magic as a Genie in his forthcoming flick Aladin. Big B is currently hosting the third season of Big Boss on small television.
